Ronnie has painted his own homage to Rembrandt’s seascape: The Storm on the Sea of Galilee. The painting depicts the biblical story of Jesus calming a ferocious storm and restoring the faith of his disciples. Just as Rembrandt did in the original, Ronnie has painted himself into the work. The real difference with Ronnie’s is the addition of a right hand panel suggesting the passing of the storm - perhaps we’re offered an insight into the conclusion of the story?
